Printed (stamped) concrete driveways are a popular, hard-wearing choice, but like any exterior surface they can fade, stain or look tired over time from weather, UV exposure and general wear. Our concrete prints service focuses on colour switch enhancements – refreshing and revitalising the surface’s appearance rather than replacing it, giving an ageing driveway a like-new finish at a fraction of the cost of re-laying.

Why Colour Fades

Printed concrete is typically finished with a coloured sealer or hardener applied to the surface. This top layer is what gives the driveway its colour and sheen, and it’s also what wears away first under UV light, rain and foot or vehicle traffic – which is why an older printed driveway often looks patchy, dull or grey compared to when it was new.

How Colour Switch Enhancement Works

The process generally starts with a thorough clean to remove dirt, algae and any flaking old sealer, followed by allowing the surface to dry fully. A fresh coloured sealer is then applied – either matching the original colour or switching to a different shade if you fancy a change – restoring the pattern’s definition and giving the surface renewed UV and weather protection.
